Is fiber glass and carbon fiber same ?

They are similar in construction as both use a fabric of thin fibers impregnated with a polyester or epoxy matrix, but for fiberglass the fabric is made of glass and for carbon fiber the fabric is carbon. Carbon fiber is stronger than glass but also more expensive. It also more often uses epoxy rather than polyester resin.

In case of bending reinforcement, fiber direction and reinforcement stress direction shall be consistent;

In shear reinforcement and seismic reinforcement, the fiber direction shall be vertical to the member axle;

In bending reinforcement and shear reinforcement, concrete strength grade shall not be less than C15;

When the concrete column is reinforced by embedded carbon fiber, the concrete strength grade shall not be less than C10;

The carbon fiber reinforcement effect mainly depends on fiber bonding process and the work shall be done by the professional construction team.
