·Excellent machanical properties
The most important properties of para-aramid is high strength and high modulus. Besides , it is great textle ability. The aramic cloth can be used as reinforcement for high strength FRP, ballistic cloth, protect board, cut resistant glove, high strength rope etc. The aramid fiber can be made as woven fabric, sleeve, tape, rope, thread to adapt the various application.
·Flame retarded and heat resistance
Para-aramid is a permanent flame retarded fiber and will not lose or reduce fire reistance properties because of service time and washing. The fiber’s LOI(limiting oxygen index) is 29. Therefore, the fiber will not continue burning when fire removed. Due to the molecular chain structure, para-aramid can work at high temperature, 84% strength retentaion at 48 hours exposure 180℃, glass transition temperature 300℃ and destruction temperature 560℃.
Para-aramid fiber filament&spun yarn
Aramid continuous filament is a flat long fiber yarn which is usually used for ballistic products, FRP reinforcement, anti-cut gloves, cables, tyre lines, tape, rope etc.
Spun aramid yarn is made by short para-aramid fiber. The spun aramid fiber yarn is much more suitable to produce knitted, tatting textile as cotton or polyester. The spun fiber yarn is widely used for safety cloth textile, high temperature sewing thread.
