Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) is one of the most well-known phenomena in the process industries, and yet it still makes up an inordinately large percentage of global maintenance expenditures. CUI is a subject that is well-researched and understood; extensive studies have been commissioned to determine the causes, effects, prevention, and mitigation of CUI.
What the materials EAS offer to CUI solution?
Glass fabric for construction: The fabric is woven by chemical grade fiberglass yarn silane sizing coating. The woven glass fabric can be well compatible with bitumen, epoxy etc coatings. It is suitable for temperature about 110℃ underground pipe insulation construction. Different thickness of this woven fabric are offered to CUI construction.
Aerogel blanket: Aerogel blanket Insuflex650 is a typical material used for high temperature pipeline insulation. It is suitable for 200-400℃ high temperature insulation. Aerogel insulation blanket is an outstanding material with superior thermal conductivity, water hydrophobic, compression, dimension stability material.
Silicone coated fiberglass fabric: The silicone coated fiberglass fabric is an ideal durable material for outdoor insulation, high temperature resistance, UV resistance, waterproof. For its high cost compared with other material, it can be used for important pipe part like valves, flanges. The silicone coated fiberglass cloth can be sewn together with insulation mat to a removable insulation jacket that can be long time used and quite easy to remove when there is need.
